Field Trips and Extracurricular Activities

Field trips and extracurricular activities are a great way for you to make friends and discover new interests and hobbies. Your parents can work with the school to make sure you have access to medication at all school-related activities.

Here is a checklist to help you prepare for field trips and extracurricular activities:

  • I know my diagnosis and how to treat my bleeding disorder.
  • I know to speak up and tell my teacher or chaperone if I get hurt, have a bleed, or have pain.
  • I am wearing my medical alert jewelry.
  • I am carrying my Emergency Kit with an extra dose of medicine/factor and have a copy of the Sample Letter.
